Hey Y’all!
I’m not usually in your inbox on a Monday but my birthday is coming up on the 26th of September and I want y’all to celebrate me and give me gifts! Money, Money, Money 💋, 💋, 💋! ifykyk
Okay, I’m kidding. Your being a part of the From the Kitchen fam is a gift enough. Each one of you, taking the time to read my words and share them (what you mean you don’t share my work?!?) truly means the world to me.
Since I was little, I’ve loved reading and writing; getting lost in imaginary worlds, dreaming up pictures in my head. Who doesn’t think that’s a fun and cool job? I’m still working on my fiction book dreams but being able to be myself through my writing and people enjoy it, is beyond anything I thought. Writing is such a lonely and daunting task; A blank page staring back at you, daring you to make a move. Having supporters, in general, is a good thing but it’s something about a stranger stumbling upon your work and thinking, “Hmmm. She has some interesting thoughts and I like her voice. I think I’ll give her a follow and subscribe to her work.”
There are currently 24 of you that think this of me. At least, I hope you do. Y’all truly are the greatest gift. For those who don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? Be the gift that keeps on giving!
I turn 37 in two weeks and I’ve made the goal to be a full time NY Times Best Selling, James Beard Award Winning, International Bestselling Author/Writer by this time next year. Okay, not ALL of those things will happen by next year but the full time writer part will. I need y’all’s help to make that happen.
My goal for the last three weeks of September is to have reached the following milestones:
37 new subscribers for From the Kitchen of Christilisa
14 paying subscribers ($7/month or $75 for the year) for From the Kitchen of Christilisa (once you go paid, you get access to the recipes before free subscribers and my personal family recipes! Among other things.)
2 Founding Members (you get a digital and/or physical copy of all the books reviewed for the first year of publication!)
New IPad for writing on the go!

I know we can make that happen! As a gift, y’all will get a 3 months subscription to Scribd! This app has a wide selection/collection of books, audiobooks, documents, and sheet music that you have Unlimited access to as a subscriber. Some of the cookbooks and books I share are available on the platform. This will allow for us to have more engagement as y’all can read, skim, cook and ask questions about whatever or share your thoughts. I don’t get paid for this nor do I have a relationship with Scribd, I just really love the app.
